Information for Prospective Tutors

WHY SHOULD I JOIN PERSONAL TUTORS?

The service is FREE to tutors.
We are the oldest and largest of the UK tuition agencies and we receive many requests for tutors from past clients as well as current advertising.
As we spend much more on advertising than any other agency, our tutors receive many more introductions. In fact, last year tutors received an average of more than 50 introductions each and those offering popular subjects such as maths and English got substantially more.
If you do not have a CRB Enhanced Disclosure, then as a Registered Body with the CRB we can obtain one for you. Also, as we are in urgent need of more tutors, we are currently not charging our normal £25 administration fee.

To maintain the excellent reputation of the agency, Personal Tutors only accept applications from tutors who are graduates or teachers.

All tutors are self-employed and are therefore able to set their own lesson fees, in conjunction with the client. However to give guidance to both parties, please click here to see the rates recommended by the agency.

To register as a tutor, first complete the form below and submit it using the "send" button. We will then send you an application form requesting details of qualifications, character references, etc.

Alternatively, to speed up your application by as many as 5-6 working days, you may submit your details by using our separate on-line tutor application form or you may print out the form and post it to us.

When you are registered and receive details of a prospective client, it will usually include their name, address, telephone number and email address, along with the subject(s) required. The pupil will receive similar details about you
